Feeding is all about nutrition and energy.
Age, breed, weight, and energy output all influence your dogs nutritional requirements. Weather and stress levels can, too.
For best digestion and performance your dog should be fed once daily, unless it’s: A growing puppy, high-energy working dog, breeding, pregnant or nursing. These dogs may need to be fed up to 2-3x the amount listed. One primary meal should consist of approximately 2/3 of the daily ration and the balance portioned out at another meal(s) at least 6 hours apart.
Be sure to monitor your dog’s weight and adjust accordingly.

It is not necessary to do a gradual mix of X-series and your previous dog food. We recommend switching directly to our food. We suggest you start with a little less X-series than your previous food, monitor and adjust as needed.
Adding cool water to the food immediately before feeding increases palatability and aids in your dog’s digestion and hydration. Always keep clean, fresh water available for your dog.
